PRESS RELEASE: Clarification on Turkish Visa Procedures in Cameroon

The Turkish Honorary Consulate in Douala, in close coordination with the relevant diplomatic and institutional authorities, wishes to formally address and correct misleading information currently circulating on social media regarding visa procedures for Cameroonian nationals traveling to the Republic of Türkiye for medical or other purposes.

We wish to clearly state the following:

  1. There is only ONE Turkish diplomatic mission in Cameroon authorized to handle visa matters.
    All visa related matters for Cameroon are handled exclusively by the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Yaoundé.

  2. Visa applications are processed through the officially designated visa application center.
    The only authorized visa application center for Turkish visas in Cameroon is Voya Visa Services. All applicants must submit their files through this center in accordance with the official procedures established by the Embassy.
  3. The Honorary Consulate in Douala does not process or issue visas.
    The Turkish Honorary Consulate in Douala plays an important role in promoting bilateral relations, supporting the Turkish community, and facilitating economic and cultural engagement. However, it does not handle visa applications, issue visas, or process visa related documentation of any kind.
  4. Applicants are strongly advised to rely only on official and verified sources.

Members of the public are encouraged to consult:

  • The Embassy of Türkiye in Yaoundé ; Blvd. de l’URSS 1782, Bastos Yaounde.
  • The official Voya Visa application center ; Yaounde I, Rue 1812/1813, Mini prix Bastos, opposite Café des Délices.

for all accurate and up to date information regarding visa procedures, requirements, and appointments.

The Turkish Honorary Consulate in Douala together with the Cameroon–Türkiye Business Council (CTBC), remain committed to ensuring that Cameroonian citizens, businesses, and patients traveling to Türkiye receive clear, accurate, and professional guidance. We also encourage the public to exercise caution and verify any information before acting on content circulated on social media.
